We provide the axes, targets, lanes and Axeperts. All you have to do is show up (or make a reservation) and throw.
If axes aren’t your thing, we also have lawn games, firepits and plenty of space for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of East Tennessee. Feel free to bring your own food or purchase some from our Snack Bar.
After 100 years of serving the Knoxville community, Babelay Farms is growing once again. Raised on Babelay Farms, Weston Babelay always knew he wanted to come back and breathe the next generation of life into his home. In 2015, he met the love of his life, Penny, at John Knox Camp & Retreat Center where she served as Program Director for over eight years. After the two were married in 2018, they decided to combine their shared passions for community and hospitality, move back to the farm, and get to work.
Penny and Weston spent much of 2018 visiting axe-throwing venues across the country. Now, they’re putting together their favorite aspects of the sport, blending in that beloved Knoxville charm, and bringing you 865 Axe Throwing.
“Coming back to the Farm has always been a dream for me,” says Weston. “Getting to do so with my wife, through the lens of this awesome new pastime, is a dream come true!”
